Another fantastic week end for all sailors who towed their trailer sailors from all around Australia to meet at Tin Can Bay to race up the glorious Great Sandy Straits to Hervey Bay. We all appreciate all the volunteers and team from the HBSC who make this event happen.
Tribute to Phil Macqueen (Vale)
I would like the images from this great weekend to be a tribute to my late partner Phil Macqueen, owner of Shalimar, an RL28. Phil raced in the Bay to Bay for 20 years. His smiling face, filled with excitement crossed my mind so many times over the last week end. I remembered how he looked forward to this race all year and raced with passion and enthusiasm. Phil is sadly missed by all!
We thank the kindness of Andrew and Samantha McInnes from Ballina sailing on Shades of Grey for their hospitality at Garry’s in a Luxury Afloat House boat.
